When Underburger began working for Garfield, he became notorious for writing episodes that were more drama than comedy. Garfield finds out that Underburger has never been moved by comedy in his life, with one exception from his childhood where someone slipped on a banana peel. He therefore focused on writing for more serious shows. Garfield then set up numerous scenarios to find a way to make Underburger laugh. Although none of them worked, Underburger eventually slipped on a banana peel, which made him laugh again. He then decided to make Garfield's show funny again.
