Colonel Archibald Cecil Thomas White (5 October 1890 – 20 May 1971) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. White was 25 years old, and a temporary captain in the 6th Battalion, The Yorkshire Regiment (Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own), later known as the Green Howards, British Army during the First World War when the following deed took place for which he was awarded the VC.
