Sir Arthur Cornelius Roberts (15 September 1869-29 August 1946) was an accountant and politician. Born in Clapham, he was the son of Stephen Arthur Roberts, a printer and his wife Alice Kate. A chartered accountant, he became senior partner in A C Roberts, Wright & Co. He was awarded the KBE in 1917 for his work during World War One as Expert Financial Adviser to the Air Board, Assistant Director General of the Army Clothing Department and Honorary Chief Auditor of Works Accounts.
