A partial organic mimic cyberstructure, or POMC, is a robotic representation of a living being that is life-like outwardly and inwardly to varying degrees. It is typically a sophisticated droid chassis, often covered with synthetic or cloned skin. It is typically designed to be used as either a cybernetic replacement for an organic body, or a convincing duplicate. The design is not internally realistic enough to fool high-quality medical scanners (see: organic mimic cyberstructure), but it is outwardly identical to a living being. They are sometimes referred to as "meatroids" or "cy-clones." Unlike true clones, a mimic can be created in under a month, or a few days with cutting-edge (and thus very expensive) technology.
