The vethbela was a two-handed sickle sword, a traditional Dal Honese weapon. Vethbela meant "bonekisser", so named because the blades were just deep enough to only touch the long bones of a normal warrior's leg, leaving the femurs, valued as trophies, intact. It was Badan Gruk's weapon of choice. His vethbela was carved from a curved tusk and inset with thin otataral blades on each side. The hilt was ivory.
