Barlet (Headmaster) was the father of United States President Josiah Bartlet. He was the headmaster of an unnamed preparatory school in New Hampshire that his son attended. His one-time secretary Delores Landingham later served in the same capacity for his son. He had a complicated relationship with his son and was known to strike or hit him in arguments. It is unknown when he died.
