The Empire Strikes Back Monthly was the third title of Marvel UK's Star Wars comic series. The series' previous title was The Empire Strikes Back Weekly, before being published monthly. The series reprinted stories from Marvel Comics' American Star Wars series, along with several original tales. The American comic's issues were usually split into smaller segments and appeared over a number of issues. The numbering system continued from the previous title. The series became Star Wars Monthly after issue #158.
