The Bureau of Mental Hygiene was a Republic of Haven governmental department under the auspice of the Secretary of Public Information. The Bureau was charged with finding and arresting people who deal in materials and teach knowledge that is deemed illegal. The Mental Hygiene Police was the enforcement arm of the Bureau. In 1884 PD, the department transferred from the Ministry of Public Health to the be under control of the Secretary. (HH3)
