Lances are melee weapons with greatly increased reach and decreased attack speed. Carrying a lance on foot - rather than when riding a mount - slows your movement speed. Thus, they are not the greatest weapon to use on foot, but they are effective when you are mounted. At present there are only three lances in the Mod: the Dol Amroth lance, wielded by mounted Swan Knights of Dol Amroth, the Gondorian lance, used by mounted Gondor soldiers, and the Rohirric lance, used by the Riders of Rohan.
