Speed Centaur is a member of a race of centaurs that lived in the Arctic until an earthquake hit. Everyone except Speed died in the process. He was discovered and brought to America by "Reel" McCoy, a reporter for the Daily Views. After Speed reached adulthood, he decided to fight crime.
