In May 2008, IDW Publishing became the latest in the line of comics publishers to acquire the comics publishing rights to G.I. Joe. What came with the new move is an all new continuity for the A Real American Hero series. Not much is known about the details of this continuity at this time save for a #0 book in October that will set up the series' debut in January 2009.
