The Portable Ping Device is the brainchild of Warehouse whiz kid, Claudia Donovan. The Portable Ping Device is basically a smaller version of the Warehouse Artifact System. When an Artifact is found and a "Ping" is sent to the Computer System in the Warehouse, it also sends a notification to each device. Also like the Warehouse system, these devices can be used to search the existing database for artifacts. Artie and Claudia both have one of these devices.
