DC Julie Fuller was the detective who investigated a fire and explosion at Mill Cottage in late June 2016. DC Fuller was an old friend of former solicitor Rakesh Kotecha, who owned The Mill. DC Fuller explained to Rakesh and his wife Priya that there was graffiti on the walls, and it's suspected that the Mill was set on fire deliberately. She visited Nicola King, who awkwardly admitted she was in the house when it set fire to collect a sex toy she and her husband Jimmy had left behind. She recalled that she knocked into a box of what she believed was water. DC Fuller questioned if the water could have been white spirit. Later Julie found Rakesh looking over the ruins of Mill Cottage and assured him they would find out who caused the fire, unaware it was Rakesh.
