The Charismatic movement is a movement for the adoption of certain Pentecostal beliefs specifically what are known as the bibilical charisms of Christianity: speaking in tongues, prophesying, etc. within mainstream Protestant and Catholic churches. It should be noted that the Charismatic theology already existed within Christian Churches before this movemant began, and as such it is perhaps more accurate to think of it only as a re-introduction of teachings.
