Taris also known as The Coruscant of the Outer Rim is a Outer Rim city planet. Taris was devestated by Darth Malak's fleet in order to stop the then-Jedi Knight Bastila Shan from escaping the planet, but failed. Taris was reduced to a post-apocalyptic swamp, but was recolonized by the Galactic Republic 315 years later. By the Clone Wars, Taris City is almost entirely restored to it's original glory. The area outside of Taris City is called the Taris Badlands, which is swarming with Rakghouls and the remains of the Tarisian Scavengers.
