Peter Thomas McLean was a Private of the United States Marine Corps who was reported missing from a US Army Base in Frankfurt although it was later revealed that he had deserted with his unit later being shipped to Iraq two days after McLean's disappearance. It was revealed that Jalil Shaloub had been responsible for the shootout that left McLean, Nick Taylor and Franz Bernhard Schuler dead with Shaloub fleeing although NCIS later arrested him after evidence confirmed that he was the killer.
