USS Munwood (ID-4460) was a cargo ship that served in the United States Navy from 1918 to 1919. SS Munwood was built as a commercial cargo ship by the Scotts Shipbuilding and Engine Company at Greenock, Scotland, in 1914. The United States Army acquired her for World War I service in September 1917 from her owner, Munson Steamship Lines of New York City. The U.S. Navy acquired her on 16 October 1918, assigned her the naval registry Identification Number (Id. No.) 4460, and commissioned her at Baltimore, Maryland, as USS Munwood on 26 October 1918 with Lieutenant Commander W. D. L. Gilboy, USNRF, in command.
