China Arnold (1980 - ) is a Dayton, Ohio mother accused of murdering her child, Paris, with a microwave. She was arrested for the murder of the one month old infant in November, 2006. The investigation of the infant's death was initially difficult due to the lack of scientific research on the effects of microwaves on the human body. "We have reason to believe and scientific evidence to support that a microwave oven might have been involved in the death of this child," said Ken Betz, director of the Montgomery County, Ohio, coroner's office. Prosecutors are likely to seek the death penalty.
