His career began in early 1996, when he founded the band Lord Leviathan alongside the guitarist Emil Nilsson (Ministry), Asmel performs all the other instruments in the band. In 2005 he joined the mexican extreme metal band Black Autumn (replacing the vocalist/bassist Aleskei Bayle after he commited suicide).
