The kroclion is a xenoc predator animal native to the continent of Amarisk, on the colony world of Lalonde. It is a very large and dangerous creature, feared by humans and other animals; even the sayce runs from it. However, the kroclion is not often encountered by the human colonists of Lalonde as it is an inhabitant of the open savannah, whereas the human settlements are normally found in the deep jungles along the tributaries of the river Juliffe.
