The M13 Machete is a combat melee weapon used by the UNSC. The weapon is designed for cutting through extremely thick vegetation, though does just as well as cutting through body armour or flesh or bone. The hollowed blade is made from a strengthened titanium carbide blade with a liquid mercury filler. This makes it somewhat weighty but gives the blade incredible swinging power. The blade tang is set into a molded grip with non slip material, ergonomic styling and set with a pommel. The weapon comes in phosphate covering, exposed edge phosphate coat or coatless.
