Ares is the Olympian God of War! He has impressive regenerative abilities, and cannot be killed by conventional means. The only way to cause him physical death would be inciniration, or splitting his body, but even then his spirit lives on. He is immortal and does not age. He can use any type of weaponry, past or present.
