The Lyshan system was a solar system close to the border between the United Federation of Planets and the Cardassian Union. In 2369, the rendezvous point for Jean-Luc Picard's special ops team to Celtris III was in the Lyshan system. After Picard's capture by the Cardassians, Will Riker took a shuttle to the system to retrieve Picard's teammates, Beverly Crusher and Worf. (TNG episode: "Chain of Command")
