Damien Oneknife was a deadly assassin living in Faerûn during the decades following the Time of Troubles (1358 DR). He was known for being opportunistic in battle, and he always tried to benefit from the assets of his enemies. One such battle saw him barely survive against a group of ghouls. In a bid to improve his chances during subsequent battles, he skinned one of them and had the hide magically enchanted to provide heightened protection against the ghoul's signature paralysation attack.
