Brigadier General Charlie Hammond was the head of the Army Medical Forces in the Far East, Seoul sector in both the 1970 film M*A*S*H* and the CBS-TV series M*A*S*H. In the film, General Hammond coordinates a intermural football game between the MASH surgeons and a team which he assembled of medics and surgeons that worked at a nearby evac hospital which was under his command.
