Jas Abrik was a Trill male. His was once a member of Starfleet and held the rank of admiral. In 2379, he served as Arafel Pagro's campaign manager and primary adviser for Pagro's candidacy for the Presidency of the United Federation of Planets. He later became President Nan Bacco's Federation Security Advisor. Abrik was often at odds with Raisa Shostakova. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation) Keith R.A. DeCandido has said he imagined Paul Dooley (Enabran Tain in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) when picturing Abrik.
