Charles Blitzen is a reindeer news anchor featured in the 2007 Sesame Street special Elmo's Christmas Countdown. Blitzen reports for CDN (Counter Downer Network), and appears periodically to berate Stiller the Elf for his incompetence. The character is a parody of ABC news anchor Charles Gibson, who provides the voice. The puppet was redressed and recycled from Lightning, the reindeer featured in the 1996 special Elmo Saves Christmas.
