Jalor was a Seven Cities recruit in Storo Matash's squad in Li Heng. He and Rell were considered the "muscle" of the squad. He was described as having "a tightly trimmed and oiled beard that did little to disguise the scars criss-crossing his dark face". He also moved like a cat. He wore a domed helmet, carried a pair of long-knives and enjoyed killing Malazans.
