In 1995, the National Working Party on Social Inclusion in the Information Society (INSINC) was created by IBM, in collaboration with the Community Development Foundation, to examine the impact of new information technology on local communities, and the potential for greater social inclusion within the Information Society. The Working Party issued a report titled The Net Result: Social Inclusion in the Information Society in 1997.
