Dorothy was a card dealer at a casino in Atlantic City where Matt Mills visited on June 8, 1997. The two bantered and flirted while Matt managed a winning streak. After Matt beat the odds and won one final hand, he took his winnings and left. Dorothy urged him not to quit after a win, but Matt wistfully decided his luck was about to run out. Sadly, Matt was murdered attempting to hitchhike his way home afterwards. Dorothy's whereabouts in 2003, when Matt's murder was solved, are unknown.
