In the wake of The Power of Information review, the Power of Information Taskforce was established by then-Cabinet Office Minister Tom Watson MP in March of 2008. A final report from the Taskforce was published in early 2009. It recommended measures designed to drive a culture shift in the public sector to make it more transparent and accountable to the public through the use of online engagement.
