The Dai-Katana, meaning "Great Sword", is the weapon of the Shogun of Hachiman. A particular Dai-Katana blade, named Singing Death, bestows great powers on its keeper and is said to be the soul of Hachiman, a warrior nation. He who has it and uncovers the secret of the sword will rule Hachiman. However, he who knows the secret cannot reveal it freely, or else have their soul damned to the Nether Regions.
