We win by addition. I'm cooperative with Democrats, Republicans and those who are neither a Democrat nor Republican. In sports, we like to compete. I like to compete too. In doing so, we get to meet and interact with all types of people and ideas. In respectful competition, relationships grow, communities thrive, and the best solutions are able to get crafted. The promise of democracy is peace. To be a peacemaker takes plenty of hard work in outreach, communication, engagement and understanding. This journey is worth it because the alternative is ignorance, fighting and war. I want to be counted among those who are known to work for peace and justice in one world, with respect and tolerance.
