The Ishiiwa Empire has been living under ground for centuries after a battle with the mighty ToriSeijin. The emperor of Ishiiwa, ChikaChiki, is planning to avenge the death of his father, ChikaChikyuu, and breaks out of their cave after some miners find it. He attacks the secret world of Sorakumo and makes most of the people his slaves. The ToriSeijin are hidden inside a secret temple, but they can't do anything without the Warriors of Sorakumo. They send out the mighty sword birds called Kentori to find the descendants of the old Skyrangers. The yellow Kentori discovers that there is only one descendant alive. Ryuusuke Hiwatari, the only descendant becomes SkyYellow and decides to make his friends from Earth become the Skyrangers.
