Rudolph Giuliani, more commonly known as Rudy, was the Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001. He was succeeded by Michael Bloomberg. As mayor, he appointed Nora Lewin as the interim District Attorney for Manhattan, replacing Adam Schiff. He was acquainted with Lewin during his time as a United States Attorney, during which they worked on organized crime cases.
