Sengoku was a terrestrial planet in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. It was largely unknown until 900 BBY, after which it became famous for senshi, elite Sengokun swordsmen. The planet was not ruled by a central government until 58 BBY, and only remained unified until 28 BBY. Mostly, Sengoku was controlled by various clans, families, and shogunates vying for power and constantly fighting. Because of that, it rarely receives off world visitors. Technological advancement is largely hampered by this, and the planet uses not very advanced technology, such as swords and spears. However, blasters became more common after 60 BBY.
