Corthala Family Blade is an enchanted katana +2 which can only be used by Valygar Corthala, as long as he has at least 17 strength, 18 dexterity and 16 constitution. In addition to the usual +2 bonuses to thaco, damage and speed factor, this blade has the ability to inflict bleeding damage, two points per round and lasting two rounds. This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur's gate II: Enhanced Edition. Valygar has this weapon equipped when he joins the party, after accepting that he and the party inspect Lavok's Sphere.
