Tortis was a lawyer and software technician posted on the USS Antechrist. In an emergency, he could pilot a fighter; when he did so, he became known by the callsign "Lawsuit", due to his law degree from Cogley Law School. He was part of the programming team assigned to a holographic program dedicated to drinking against the Longueuil Cup all-stars, alongside Dunames Lopez.
