The Hidden Riches update was introduced on the 1st of September 2017. Special items drop from items based on the chi (which can be checked by clicking Info for any item and looking at the Fire/Water/Earth/Wind Chi next to the item name) and for every day of the week there is a chance for blocks to drop a specific item.
