W2-7AY was a brown-colored protocol droid, that was owned by Thaedius Creed during the time of the Clone Wars. After some of Creed's emlpoyees went missing on Cularin, he sent W2-7AY to find the Heroes of Cularin in Hedrett. 7AY found them and presented them with a recording that Creed had made, requesting that they met with him.
