Vela(VRRF124) was born on March 15, 2009 in a group called the Rascals. Her mother was Blondie and hier father was Grus. Her litter-mates were her three brothers, VRRM127, Crux(VRRM123) and Izar(VRRM125) and her two sisters Lyra(VRRF128) and Ara(VRRF126). Vela and her brothers and sisters were looked after by the whole group. Rascals was a relatively small group and the birth of Vela and her siblings helped to increase their numbers. Blondie was sadly Last Seen after she disappeared, most likely predated, in June 2009. Vela was only three months old, so her aunt Islay became the dominant female but was soon predated in September.
