In 2003, it merged with Vivendi Games and became Vivendi Universal Games, and purchased Sierra which was where the Crash Bandicoot license was passed on to after the merger. However, some copies (mostly older copies) of Crash Nitro Kart still hold the Universal Interactive name on it. Vivendi Universal Games was bought by Activision in 2006.
