Magistrate's Blades were a dozen katana forged in the Kakita smithing tradition, created as mandatory ‘gifts’ to the Monkey Clan] by Toturi I's edict. They have a monkey motif on their tsuba, making them easily identifiable as belonging to Monkey Magistrates. They were companion pieces to the Armors of the Monkey Clan.
