Paul Artisan is a character in Gary Troup's novel "Bad Twin". In the novel, Paul appears as a New York private detective of Basque descent (his surname comes from the Basque "Artzai", meaning "Shepherd"). He was hired by Clifford Widmore to find his identical twin brother, Zander Widmore. Paul's best friend is a retired professor named Manny Weissman, the two of them share a Chocolate Labrador named "Argos".
