Remember that the movies are not canon to the story so anything could happen. We are still waiting for a full explanation of Isshin, his Zanpakuto and its similarities but they are indeed not the same Zanpakuto despite having the same attack. Isshin's Zanpakuto is called Engetsu, whereas Ichigo's is called Zangetsu.
