The First Battle of Basilisk was fought in the Basilisk System in 1901 PD between the Royal Manticoran Navy and the People's Navy. HMS Fearless, commanded by Commander Honor Harrington engaged the Havenite Q-ship Sirius, commanded by Captain Johan Coglin. Fearless destroyed Sirius, but was so heavily damaged that she was decommissioned thereafter. (HH1)
