Matthew McCreep (Fr. Torchesac, nicknamed "Oily" McCreep) is a character that appears in the "non-canonical" Smurf story "The Smurfs And The Magic Flute". He is a thief who also happens to be a talented musician, and who also has an association with the wicked and greedy Earl Flatbroke. Both Matthew and Earl Flatbroke were brought back to the mainland and turned over to the law, and the magic flutes were safely returned to the Smurfs. Matthew McCreep's original French name, "Torchesac," translates into English as "Torchbag."
