The United Alliance of System Lords was the alliance made by the Goa'uld System Lords in opposition to Anubis' attempts to take complete control of the Goa'uld Empire. Though it was united against Anubis, the factionality and mistrust that make up the typical Goa'uld mindset remained. Ba'al was the de facto leader of the "United Alliance", being the most powerful of the System Lords still among the High Council. Unsurprisingly, the "United Alliance" collapsed after the defeat of Anubis, with Ba'al taking most of Anubis' holdings and going rogue. Lord Yu was also part of this alliance.
