El'nor Sal was a human female born in the mid-2300s. She served as a medical doctor in the Federation Starfleet in the mid-to-late 24th century. During her medical career, Doctor Sal had numerous experiences with Vulcan hybrids, noting that the Vulcan halves usually dominated the other species'. In May 2381, Sal joined the crew of the Vesta-class USS Quirinal as chief medical officer at her friend, Captain Regina Farkas's, request.
