The Demiurge Conflict was a war fought between the allied forces of the UNSC and USR, and the Demiurge. A long campaign, the Demiurge infiltrated both the Sangheili and UNSC at multiple levels, making the campaign treacherous. Technologically apt, and skilled at counter-intelligence, the Demiurge proved to be one of the most pernicious enemies the UNSC ever encountered. The war was mostly a series of bloody raids, but was eventually consumed by the larger Twilight War.
